This picture shows background and cropping photography composition rules. In this picture, the mainly subject is the man. Therefore, photographer used a simple yellow background to let the man stand out from the background. In addition, the person is in the middle of the picture which is a thought of balance and he wore a grey polo and black trousers, because the background is yellow so it makes the man stand out from background strongly by colour matching. This allow when people look the photo, their eyes focus on the main subject and it will attract people's attention. The computer box cut his body into the upper part and lower part.

As to the background,it's not that simple. There are dark part and light part, it makes the background more interesting and looks like 3D.The part of the top picture, there is a roll over part and it's above the mainly object.

I think this photo is used for advertising or magazines and it it suit for the purpose, because of the interesting and simple yellow background. If this photo published in the Magazine cover,I believe it will attract people's attention.

In this picture, the main project is the lady who was smoking and sitting in a coffee or a bar.The photographer used rule of thirds.

The lady was sitting in the left of the photo and her face was in the line crosses and her body sit in the first vertical line.

The photo was under a black and white style and the tone was dark. We can see from the picture, there is a window in the left side and a door in the right side which were where the light came in.Furthermore,we can vaguely see the smoke. The lady was the only one person show in the photo and there were two chair had rolled out,it seems someone just left. This photo gave people a feeling of lonely and there was a story about this lady.

This photographer used leading lines which the lines was the side pavements and the top of trees. The four leading lines shaped like the letter "x"and in the middle of "x" was the man's face.In addition, this photo was also kind of symmetry and patterns because the trees on both sides were symmetry and the axis of symmetry was the old man who was the main subject in this photo.

This picture was also under no colour film condition when it was took in 1932. We can see from the man's clothes and there was no leafs on the trees, the photo was taken in a winter. Also the man looks like old, therefore, this picture give people a feeling about something is going to end soon. Moreover,I like this photo not only because it gives a feeling about something is going to end soon, but also it gives a feeling about solitarily. The old man was standing alone in the street and the tone of the photo was dark.
